Chapter 24. Physical Joining

Ethan’s POV

I lifted my glass to my lips and then sipped the drink. “I don’t know how long I will leave since it is a complicated business. Yet, if I can finish the matter, I promise to ask Freya’s permission to marry you as soon as possible.” I placed the glass back on the table. Then reaching my hand to hold Helena’s hand, I asked, “Will you wait for me, darling?”

“Yes, I will.” She raised my hand to her lips and kissed it. “As Ernie told me, it binds our souls together after marking. Though I don’t know much about your custom, I believe you are my spouse after the marking. I can feel it so strongly in my heart.”

I tenderly smiled as I stared at Helena. “I’m so happy that you accept my world’s custom. One day, I’ll tell you more about it.”

“Yes.”

Then no more talking anymore as we drank our beverages. Helena stroked her temple.

“What’s wrong?”

“My head is a bit dizzy because of the wine. I drank too much.”

“I’ll remember that.” Then
