Helena’s POV

I read my mother’s message. I wondered if something had happened at home since my mom rarely texted me.

“I need to call my mother. I’ll be right back,” I said to Stacy.

“Sure. No worries.”

Then I walked to the garden. After taking a seat, I called to my mother, “Mom, what happened?”

“Oh, sweetheart, it’s bad!”

“What happened? Are you okay?”

“He asked me to persuade you to come back to him.”
