Chapter 186
“Danika?” Baski called softly, laying the petticoat aside. She lowered herself behind Danika and touched her back tentatively.
She didn't respond. But Baski knew that she was not asleep.
Baski's eyes widened when she saw Danika's lower body. The blood that made it out of her body had dried around her thighs, and she was still dropping new ones. But she wasn't bleeding as heavily as she was supposed to. Did it mean that the child was still with her?
“Oh, Danika. I think you might still be pregnant even after the collar shock!” Tears prickled Baski's eyes. “Your baby might still be hanging in there!”
“It d-does not matter.” Danika's voice came out hoarsely. “We are still going to die on the fourth day anyway.”
