Chapter 83. The New House
The new furniture was due for that morning. I liked the old furniture but Marcel insisted on all new décor. The entire house was painted last week and the garden was under reconstruction. After two weeks the new chairs and portraits were due.
It was Marcel’s way of starting over. The new beds came in two days ago. I understood him though it felt like it was genuinely ours this way.
The house felt too big sometimes. The penthouse was huge too but this is a two-story mansion with twelve bedrooms with bathrooms attached, two kitchens and two living rooms, an upstairs and downstairs office, a library and the other rooms Marcel was yet to convert.
Mindy and Selma were coming over to keep me company. Marcel was busy taking care of the pack business. He’s been procrastinating about speaking to Riven about the death of his Father, however, he made a call and Riven was planning to come down and speak to Marcel in person.
