“How do I look?” I asked, flashing my baby bump at Marcel.
He looked up from his desk and smiled. “Like a goddess.”
It’s been months since the scare. It terrified Marcel to the bone. Wolf babies were bigger and their bones were heavier than human babies. I felt like I’d carried this baby for nine months already.
“What are you up to?” I asked Marcel.
He leaned back in his seat and exhaled deeply. “Looking at a map.”
“Still looking for weak points?” I asked.
He nodded. “I’ve tried my best to dismantle Malik’s stupid plans and keep the Crystal Light pack at bay but…” he trailed.
“Babe?” I raised a brow.
He pushed his chair back and stood. He walked around the table and came to me. He cupped my cheek and rubbed my belly. The baby’s foot pressed against my belly. I shut my eyes, feeling the baby reach for his Father.
