Just like Xavier promised his brother, he marched to the north of the capital, where Koz lived, as soon as Edward departed for Jade. The north of the capital was a few hours away from the palace in the carriage, and Xavier took a few guards for protection.

He could handle this despite his condition. His movement was discrete because many people didn’t know the king was gravely sick, and they intended to keep
