Chapter 31. Two Opposite Sides

Mia and Xavier stepped out together as king and queen today. This wasn’t their first official outing as couples. They have done a few in the past. This, however, was their attempt to present themselves as a happy couple to the rest of the kingdom.

They were currently at the sporting arena where over a hundred people sat watching the two men wrestle with each other in the ring. Two men beating the shit out of each other was part of entertainment for the cheering crowd. Entertainment in Wahala could come as art, music, drama and sometimes sweaty wrestling.

Mia didn’t really like the gruesome fight just to show off strength. Growing up, her mistress taught her that violence was an inescapable trait of every werewolf. Her father, however, disagreed with it. He was the most peaceful and peace-seeking man Mia ever knew, and it was easy to believe him.
