Chapter 89. Finally an Announcement

I ran towards the hall without any care of what I look like. If my instincts are right, then William is asking me to trust in him whatever happens which translates to me being there witnessing how it will happen.

I crossed the huge lawn towards the hall where the great doors are already closed. Panicking because I might not make it, I doubled my speed but stumbled on the stone on the ground.

“Alana!” Lucas, who came out from nowhere, readily helped me to get up and shake off the dirt on my legs.

“Thank you so much, Lucas,” I said and moved away from him to continue my journey.

I cannot be late to the ceremony. I have to be inside the halls now.

But Lucas caught my arm to stop me. “Where are you going?”

“To William. I will see him. I need to see him.”

Pity registered in his eyes as he tried so hard to conceal it. “But William is not here, Alana. He left for a business meeting. He will not be back until tomorrow.”<
