Whispers and low voices hung in the air.

“See? I told you already that there is something between them.”

“I knew it all along. That is why the alpha prince has been protective of her from the very start.”

“Who is she?”

“The alpha prince rescued her from an abusive household.”

“I can’t accept that the alpha prince waited for his mate for someone from a questionable background.”

The last statement I heard from the crowd pierced right into my heart causing me to try to free my fingers from William but he only clasped it tighter as if he’s never letting me go again.

Everyone was in a standstill waiting for the alpha king and queen luna to say something.

Georgia, the supposed bride of William, is standing in the middle of the hall confused by the happenings with her mother by her side comforting her.
