Chapter 404. South Pack Battle

Kai POV

I can hear the alarms blaring from my hospital room. The South Pack is under attack, and I can do nothing about it.

They have pumped me full of medication that is supposed to silence my wolf, but he is suddenly awake in my mind. Fang is clawing at the corners of my mind, trying to break free. I do not know how long I can keep him at bay.

A pair of dark blue eyes peer through the glass of my door. They belong to that bitch of a nurse who has belittled me every day. Only now, her eyes aren’t full of humor. They are afraid.

I slam my hands on either side of the small window, and she jumps back in fear.

“Let me out,” I command her.

She shakes her head nervously.

“I can’t,” she mutters. “I am supposed to make sure you stay captive.”

I throw my head back and laugh loudly. “This was the plan. To drive me insane so I can’t protect my pack.”

“This pack belongs to Alpha Fernando,” she says, but her words are not confident.
