Chapter 518. She Isn’t Property

Charlie POV

Wren is sleeping soundly between Destin and me. I can’t take my eyes off her. Everything about her is mesmerizing, but she isn’t mine. I know she is Destin’s mate, but I can’t shake the feeling that she is mine, too. Without the Moon Goddess to guide me, I feel lost. I am drawn to her. My wolf, Rolfe, wants me to claim her even though I have told him she isn’t ours to claim. Yet Destin is suddenly so willing to share her? It is all so complicated.

I look up to see Destin staring at me. His face is unreadable, but I don’t think he is pleased.

“Why did you share her?”

He shrugs his shoulders. “She isn’t property. She wants you, too, and I want her to be happy.”
