Chapter 570. Excuses

Wren POV

I lie in Charlie’s arms and wait for him to make the first move. I have been waiting for over a week, and he only ever cuddles with me. Every night is the same. I strip down to only my panties and lie on top of the covers. His eyes roam over my body, and I can feel his lust through the bond, but he shakes those feelings away and climbs under the covers. He kisses me gently, wraps his arms around me, and then quickly falls asleep. To say that I am getting frustrated is an understatement.

I thought tonight would be different. I cooked his favorite meal and flirted with him all evening. He smiled and flirted back, but now I am staring at the ceiling again.

Enough is enough. I have to know why he is avoiding me. “Charlie.”

He yawns loudly. “What’s up, Princess?”
