Ruby’s POV

A few minutes later, our waitress returned with two more buttons of her blouse undone. I let out a groan at her behavior. She was flaunting her large breasts in Zylon’s face.

“Will you have anything to eat, Alpha?” she purred, opening a bottle of wine. I gripped the edge of the table.

“He’ll have the creamy pesto shrimp,” I answered for him. The waitress snapped her gaze toward me, and Zylon looked at me with an amused expression.

“Is that what you’d like, Alpha?” she asked him. He nodded, and she left. I glared at her as she walked away.

“Ruby…” he called. I looked at him, but he was staring at the table. I hadn’t realized my claws had elongated and dug into the wood.

“Sorry,” I murmured.

We sat in silence for a while until he spoke again. “So, you like to dance?” he asked suddenly.
