Chapter 108. A Visit to the President

I sat in my study, going through the plan, when Theo came in.

"Magnus," He said. "We just received a message the president is visiting tomorrow."

I placed the paper in my hand. "The president? Why is he coming again?"

"Two people disappeared last night." He replied. "It's not looking good; people are scared and serious."

I combed my hair with my fingers and sighed. "Where were they last seen?"

"The woods. They're a couple, they went hiking yesterday morning and haven't returned. Their phones are switched off, and there's no way for anyone to reach them." Theo said.

"Has it been up to twenty-four hours to be registered as missing?" I asked. I knew that was a pointless question, but I needed a way to stop the president from coming tomorrow."

"Their family has already done all of the procedures; they are officially missing, and people are getting upset and scared by the rising disappearances," Theo replied.
