Chapter 107. The Truth Is Heavy

Meredith and I were discussing randomly one minute, and the next, someone knocked on the door; I frowned when the door was pushed open without hearing our response.

She's one of the people who know better than to barge in on Meredith and me because most people do the craziest stuff.

There was a time when one of the maids barged in on us, practicing how to do blow*b with a banana; the soggy fruit was up Meredith's throat when she came in.

We were the talk of the town for a month straight; I almost got into trouble with my father, if not that he thought I was just an accomplice; the banana was caught in Meredith's mouth and not mine.

But that was just my father's thought; what every other person knew was that we were both doing it.

It's safe to say that no one ever comes into the room without hearing our response, no matter how urgent it is.

"Mom, what do you want? And why didn't you wait for our response?" Meredith asked. Immediately,
