Chapter 102. Mother

Everyone in the room kept mute after Phyna left. It was evident now that there was a beef between Phyna and my mother as hike I had always known that whatever problem there was was between me and Lucas, I almost ignored the possibilities of the problem extending to Phyna and my mother.

“Let’s have some dessert now shall we?” Anthony suddenly boomed out and that lightened the mood a bit. Cakes and tea were brought in from the kitchen and everyone was soon in a merry mood again. My mother seemed alright now but I was her son so I could tell she was still a bit upset about Phyna.

I decided to talk to her and be sure it wasn’t anything serious. I wanted till she was tired and ready to go to her room and then I walked her. As soon as we got to her room I allowed her have her tea and waited till the maids had tucked her in for the night. When they had all left I went closer and sat down beside her.
