“I’m sorry to hear about that Lovette.” Anthony said.

I wondered if this was the right time to chip in something too since I hadn’t said anything but I needed to be sure first…….

“Thank you.” She said. She didn’t look at me while the both of them were talking. I knew she was doing that intentionally and I decided I couldn’t take it anymore.

“Lovette.” I called. Her eyes caught mine immediately and I could read the surprise on her face since she hadn’t expected me to call her. “You didn’t tell me about your nanny and this Manuel boy. If you don’t mind me asking where are they now?”

Pause.

“I prefer not to talk about them.”

Bullshit.

“What if I demand to know since I’m the alpha of this pack……..”

“That information is not necessary and it’s not going to help us achieve our goals here…….”

“And yet I still want to know.”

“I will talk about it only when I am comfortable enough. Until then please let me be.”
