Chapter 60. The Letter from Basit

“You are upset that I didn’t include you in the meeting. It is my family affairs Phyna it wasn’t necessary to……..”

“Oh so I’m not a part of the family is that what you mean?”

“Phyna……….”

“You don’t make me feel like I am welcome here anymore!” She yelled. “You didn’t seek my opinion concerning anything that was discussed at the table.”

“Your opinion? What opinion could you possibly have about my son and his mate……..”

“He’ll be my son too Basit and so I should have a say. When we are mated and I take Chantel’s position as the Luna mother of the pack it will be my responsibility…….”

Suddenly the sound or thought of her being my mate and taking over Chantel’s position didn’t sound right to my ears. I didn’t understand how I had ever pictured that even happening. Phyna was my mistress, she was my plaything and nothing more……..
