Chapter 73. Our Spot

Jason’s POV

With the pack and their bullshit behind us, I trailed through the woodland surrounding our pack house; Kayla snuggled in my arms, safeguarding her from those who had also filtered into the forest. Although, given Archer’s ‘Fuck with me and die!’ vibe, no one had dared approach us as of yet!

“Where are we going?” Kayla whispered calmly as we delved deeper into the gloomy forest.

“You don’t remember, baby?” I asked, raising a brow, the corner of my lip twisting into a smirk.

“Our spot!” She gushed, making me smile at her, warmth spreading through my body seeing a smile split her pretty face; even when black bruises danced across her ivory cheek, she was unmistakably breathtaking!

Stepping over the body of one of my pack members as if they were nothing more than a discarded branch, I looked down in amusement seeing his heart missing from his body!
