Bernael’s POV
Staring into the angry eyes of my son, his words hanging in the air between us. He despised me, and that was fine! I didn’t need him to love me or even to like me, but what I did need and demand was his fucking loyalty. Something I am realising is wavering at the first sight of Abigail’s ginger gash!
Not only had he decided to go against our well-thought-out plans and throw a spanner in the bloody works by letting a pretty smile and innocent eyes sway him from the path I had set out for him. A path I had spent years educating and guiding him towards! Now he has allowed his feelings for this girl to cloud his judgement and potentially ruin everything!
