Chapter 20

I woke up the next morning which turned out to be a Saturday morning. I can't believe I slept that long but I am fully back to normal. I didn't have anything to do today. I just took my bath and went downstairs to help my mom in the kitchen. She is baking another snack. I hugged her from behind and muttered a beautiful morning to her.

She turned around and pecked my forehead.

"Sorry, I couldn't wake you up last night. Alex told us you were tired so your father and I decided to let you be. How was your night this morning, darling?" She asked.

I smiled. "It was fine Mom. But I am hungry. So hungry."

"Sit down right there while I serve you your favourite snack."

I was served and eventually, I also helped in the kitchen with the maids. My father came downstairs breaking to us that he has to be on his way to the office because there is an emergency.

I gave him a hug and mom hurriedly packed his snacks for him and I helped him take it to his car.
