Gracie stared at Henry's worried expression, knowing what he was thinking about her plans to escape. Most likely, he believed she wouldn't survive and that leaving the Island would be too great a risk for her as a woman. This was typical of wolves, who were naturally overprotective and didn't see how women could take care of themselves without them.

"Don't do this."
Henry blinked, not understanding what she meant by that.
"Don't try to stop me from following my path just because you assume I'm not capable of protecting myself."
