Gracie couldn't believe the unfolding events around her. Her cousin John, whom she had always cared for and loved, was trapped in a silver cage, and although he was in his human form, he resembled an animal. His eyes, as black as his deceased mother’s, were now white and glazed over. His claws were exposed and pointed at his mate, who was looking at him with deep emotion. Helena had striking gray eyes, and her long, dark hair framed her face. Her expression was one of pain, and Gracie felt nauseated by the two men competing for her hand while she couldn't tear her gaze away from John.
