John Chase had the most beautiful eyes she had ever seen, Helena thought.
Her heart ached as she realized how long it had been since she had seen that intense obsidian gaze, like two black lagoons. She felt herself slowly unraveling as she touched the skin of his face, fully aware that this wasn’t real. But of all the dreams she had with John since everything happened, none felt as real as this one.
