Octavia POV

He dragged me into his room, and the moment the door clicked shut behind us, my back hit it with a soft thud.

It was the very first time I had ever stepped into his space, and instantly I was swallowed by his scent, rich, wild, consuming. It clung to the air, to my skin, filling my lungs until all I could breathe was him. My body reacted before my mind could, every nerve sparking to life as if answering a call it had been waiting for.

Maurice didn’t waste a second. His hand came to the back of my neck, firm but careful, and his mouth crashed into mine in a hungry, claiming kiss. I let him. Maybe because I couldn’t resist, or maybe because I didn’t want to. His tongue invaded my mouth, his taste overwhelming, and I melted into the rhythm he created, rough, desperate, but perfectly in sync.
