Osborne POV
Aina wouldn’t let me step foot in the office today. She kept insisting I’d just returned and she wanted me close. Honestly, I understood her—but damn, Alex handled things far better than Steve. Steve tried, truly, but half the time it felt like I was teaching someone how to do the job they were hired to do.
“I need to make a call,” I told her. She studied my face for a moment before nodding. I smiled and rose to my feet. I needed to call Dylan; I knew he’d be restless waiting.
I walked over, pressed a kiss to Aina’s forehead. She smiled up at me. “Don’t be long,” she murmured.
I chuckled and kissed her again before stepping out.
Once alone, I dialed Dylan. He picked up immediately. “Glad you called. I’ve been waiting.”
I could hear the tension in his voice.
“First of all, Dylan,” I said calmly, “do you want me to handle this my way… or yours?”
He drew in a long breath, clearly debating. Then, “Your way.”
