Emily's POV

I stood outside in front of Ms. Anderson mansion, and the place was still as beautiful as it was. The last time I had visited, I had to rush to Berton because at that moment, he was my priority. I wanted to meet him so badly that everything around me faded.

"Right this way please," the maid ushered me in. We walked into the living room where Ms. Berton was sitting and the moment she felt my presence, she lifted her head to look at me. "Emily, you came," she said without a hint of a smile on her face.

"Please have a seat," she gestured towards a seat opposite hers and I quietly settled on it. "You must be wondering why I called you here. And as much as I'd like to go straight to the point with you, I've decided to be a little polite. It must've taken a while to come here so I'll treat you fairly.
