Chapter 16. Red Eyes

???’s POV

Gidian moved with stealth towards the glowing blood-red eyes. His steps were calculated; precise. He had to make sure he didn't scare the creature any more than it already was. He could detect the fear seeping from the animal's body. With every step Gidian took, the animal took a few strides backwards.

‘Easy does it Gidian, she's scared.’

‘I know, but I can sense she's also feral... It's like she has been in wolf form for a long time now.’

‘Yes, it seems that way. I can smell she is also now a rogue... I wonder what happened to her?’ Zander was worried. 

‘I don't know, but I think she will trust us better if we're in our human form,’ Gidian suggested.

Gidian's body twisted unnaturally, the air was filled with the sounds of shattering bones, the noises resemble those of crushed twigs. Within seconds a naked Zander was crouched on his hands and feet. He held his position as he made eye contact with the she-wolf.
