Chapter 45. Gidian

GIDIAN’S POV

My eyes smouldered with resentment at the scene playing out before me. My beautiful mate's neck was being held in a chokehold by the likes of the dark witch. Her bone-like fingers clasped neatly around my girl's throat.

"One more step Alpha and I break this pretty little thing's neck." Nasty black blood trickled out her mouth and down her chin, it looked like dried cephalopod ink. I watched as Hazel's cute button nose scrunched up in disgust, the main reason being, the stench of the witch's breath.

Raw anger shot through me as I saw fear glistening in my girl's beautiful hazel eyes. I involuntarily made a step forward. The witch hissed, her grip tightened around Hazel's neck, I watched as my girl's eyes rolled back into her head, as she now struggled to breathe. Hazel lifted her hands and made many futile attempts in trying to pry the witch's clutches from her neck.
