“Please stop,” I grabbed his hands and lowered them. My skin got cold from losing his touch, it was like I was at war with myself, wanting him to touch him while also preferring him at a distance.
It wasn’t logical, it was stupid and wrong but there was something in his eyes when he looked at me that warmed my soul and not just my body.
He took a step back and dropped his head. I’d forgotten how big he was, broad shoulders that never hung and a head truly fit for a crown.
Darian walked around the room, he took slow steps and looked at the empty walls and the little desk in the corner. He drew a breath and became bigger, broader, and looked even stronger.
“Just over a year ago my driver crossed the border to the Silver Moon Pack.”
That’s my old pack. Several stories he could pitch me passed through my mind and I can’t help but think how nice it must be for Zade who could read thoughts. It seemed to be the only way to tell who someone truly is
