Chapter 74. Together
My mother is waiting for me at the front door when I get home.
She has a happy expression on her face, her eyes all sparkling. Enthusiastically and impatiently, she wiggles on her legs. The fact that she's waiting for me means that something special is going on. I know my mom, she is a busy bee, always running from one project to another.
“Mercedes, come in soon, baby”, she exclaims, smiling at me. With my hands in her, she quickly pulls me into the house. And there I see large bunches of white Lilies, the living room is full of them.
I run to a bouquet and take out the card. ‘Love you so much, my little Luna. Please forgive me', is written on it in handwriting. Overjoyed, I hold it to my heart and scream with gratitude.
