“And this ogre here “he points to the man who makes my hair stand on end “Relax, he’s harmless, he’s Adam, our boss and best friend.

I can’t help but laugh, and the ogre I say, Adam, focuses his sights on me...well, I guess he hadn’t stopped looking at me.

“It’s nice to meet you too, Adam,” I wink at him and go to serve the other customers.

After a while, I decide it’s better to leave; I feel strange, I’m nervous, my legs are shaking, and Adam’s gaze on me is scaring me.

I can’t be here; I’m going to tell Nate that I have a family emergency.

“Nate, I need to go; I have a family problem,” I lie.

“Oh, do you need something,” he asks with concern.
