My Mate and I.
Lisa walks into the house and her heart is reminded of the things she use to do with Peter before she left. She was once like Camilla.
She is like Camilla.
She is also entangled with Peter but she has to let go of her feelings for him. She isn't ready to face the heartbreak that is indefinitely coming in the future.
As she steps into the house, she redirects her steps to the kitchen. Maybe she should greet Mary before moving further into the house but as she gets to the kitchen she hears Peter's voice and her legs freeze.
"Mary, I like Lisa but she doesn't like me," Peter is telling her and Lisa feels like her insides will give up on her.
Peter is admitting openly to Mary that he likes her. Her heart folds as she is hit with a vast amount of emotion.
Why is it so difficult for her to just be with him? Why did her life have to turn out the way it did? Why did her brother have to die?
