Layla’s POV
Everything that happened from there was a blur. I hadn’t even seen Augustus and his men escape or Nate arrives with help.
“We have to get him to the pack, Layla!” Nate said as he pulled me away from the lifeless body and the men carried him. The men suddenly stopped and laid him down.
“Layla.” I heard Scott say and I rushed to his side. He took off the chain on his neck and gave it to me. “Take care of Brian and yourself too. Nate is a good man and the best for you. Never forget that I wish we had become close soon but I will keep watching over you when I am gone.” I crowd as I felt him breathe his last.
