They must be up to something to be quiet for so long but it doesn’t matter as long as we know that we cannot afford to lose our guard.

“What is the lead we have?”

“I lost her.” The tracker said. “It was as if she knew that I was following her.

“Hannah would know if you underestimated her.”

“I’m sorry. I don't know what she is like since I just joined the pack not too long ago.”

“It’s fine, Jason, you can go.” I dismissed him and joined Layla on the couch as I wrapped my hands around her.

“So, what did you want to tell me?"

“I found something out about Elena’s family?”

“Can’t we take a break from all these dramas for a while?” I asked as I tried to distract her from playing with her hair.

“It is very important actually.”
