“I know.” He leaned down to kiss her, then propped himself up again so she may want to breathe. “I don't understand what I did to deserve you, Amelia . But I hope I'll figure it out so I can hold doing it.”

She laughed, which made her clench on him and they both groaned a little bit, Gabriel losing his head to kiss her again, softly this time, now not pulling away, however leaving his lips towards hers as he spoke. “Never cease loving me,” he whispered.

“Impossible,” she whispered back. “It's impossible, Gabriel.”

He curled a hand over her head and slumped again, his lips towards her neck. “I love you, Amelia .”

“I love you too, Gabriel.”

“That makes me the luckiest bastard alive.”

They need to have dozed off, due to the fact she woke with a start, adrenalin flooding her veins. But Gabriel was still there, his weight still pinning her to the furs. And she was… she was wonderful.
