Chapter 60

June was holding Owen by the scruff of his collar when she saw Amareux. The little boy was wailing. It seemed that Neil had done something to provoke the little boy and he was being chased by Owen.

She stood still and slowly released her fingers from around Owen's collar. The little boy immediately ran towards the gate, where Neil stood, waiting and laughing with bated breath.

Nicolette wiggled her brows at Amareux and began to walk inside the palace, leaving them both alone.

Amareux did not know what to say. His heart was beating so fast and for a moment, he wanted to disappear, maybe run into his room and practice what be was going to tell her.
