As soon as the afternoon sky reigned above the pack lands, the men were set to rest, they talked, they ate and in anxiety they waited.
Some slept, some didn’t, some went home and some did not move from the training grounds. Zillon sat along the sidelines, Celeste’s face hidden against his chest as she sat across his lap. “I don’t like when you’re like this. Why do I have to sit here?”
“Because Kitten, I want you to.”
“But everyon—”
“Nobody’s looking, Celeste. Nobody even cares, everybody knows we’re a thing, mates always do stuff like this.”
