Chapter 99

The shield did a good job of protecting her, but she knew it was just a matter of seconds before her enemies broke through. She couldn't hold the shield and still fight with inhuman speed and strength at the same time unless she was going to transform into her real form, which she didn't like.

She knew the havoc it would create if she allowed the transformation to take over. So instead, she decided to endure it.

From the corner of her eyes, she could see the duplicate being around her, and without being told, she knew what they were about to do. They were about to attack from all directions; she couldn't allow that.

With the help of her hunting skills, she moved swiftly between them and evaded all their attempts to circle her in the middle. At least, there is still hope of beating them like that.

Even though she couldn't recognize the original Asteria from the duplicate one, that wouldn't stop her from lowering her guide.
