Chapter 134. Zuri Loses Her Job
“You called me ma’am.” Zuri said.
“Twenty minutes ago.” Racheal responded, looking up from the chart on her desktop. The chart showed all the expenditure from the visit to the camp. Supplies, and insurance.
All a waste now.
Zuri was frowning at her. “I had to finish up on one of your many assignments.” She said,
“You do not even bother to hide it.” Racheal said, looking at the woman.
Zuri’s anger and hate towards the Sherrod was so big she had difficulty pretending.
Although she did not look like someone who could pretend anyway, she wore her heart on her sleeves.
She reminded her of Jade. Maybe if they had met under different circumstances they would have got on well.
Zuri said nothing.
If she understood the meaning of what Racheal just said, she did not show it.
Her face remained in a perpetual scowl.
“Sit please.” Racheal said, watching her.
