Griffon’s heart ached.

That was the stupidest decision he had ever made. After they had parted ways, he regretted it countless times.

Suppressing the pain in his heart, he explained, “I promised my brother that I would marry Tara.”

There was still no emotion in Taya’s eyes. “So, you gave up on me as soon as she came back.”

He opened his mouth and wanted to refute it, but he couldn’t. When the contract was terminated, he did intend to give up on Taya. He had to fulfill his elder brother’s last words, and she did not love him, so he could only choose to give up on her.

But now that he thought about it, no matter what the reason was, in her eyes, he had given up on her without hesitation.

He could not refute it. His silence made Taya smile faintly.

“Griffon, you don’t love me at all. You’re just being possessive.”

He shook his head and said to her, “I can tell what love is and what possessiveness Taya, you can’t deny me like this.”
