Alexander’s POV

“I fucking need information on him. Get it through her, dig into their past, fucking round up their family members and interrogate any of them if you have to. I don’t care if you travel to everywhere they have ever been to get information. Just get me something,” I said angrily before hanging up.

I almost threw my phone against the wall but decided against it at the last minute. I couldn’t alert Dalia about anything, I caused the mess and I’ll fix it myself.

It was the day of our trip and I couldn’t sleep a wink the whole night. I was disturbed about what brought Jason and Ava together in the first place.

My private investigator found out that he grew up in Texas and he had only moved to New York recently. Ava has never been to Texas and all of a sudden they are seen together. Something didn’t sit well with me, I just couldn’t place my finger on it. I also couldn’t shake it off and it was starting to take a toll on me.
