Chapter 104. Unexpected Event

“I wonder if we can have a date tomorrow. You can bring Shane too. We can go to the town and relax there.”

Amy gulped because she must reject Reese’s invitation, but she was also nervous to tell him about her plan. “I’m sorry, but I can’t ….”

“Oh, you’re busy? It’s okay. We can go next week.”

“Reese …. I … I’ve been thinking about Samuel. I …” Amy couldn’t continue her words. 

“Amy, I know you love him. It’s okay if you want to return to him.” 

She held her breath. “You know? I’m so sorry ….” Reese said nothing for a while until Amy called him. “Reese? Are you still there?”

“Yes. I know you will return to him, but I was thinking I might have a chance with you. But I’m happy for you. Samuel truly loves you. I’m sure Shane will be happy if you two are back together.”
