Chapter 46

[Amber's POV]

"Mmmh! Mmmh!!" I mumbled, my incessant pleadings muffled under the pillow as I felt choked up, struggling for my life, being strangulated as hell.

I tried to make out any reasonable word but it was impossible and I felt like a failure.

Could it be that it was all a dream? Probably, all I needed to do was close my eyes and everything will be okay.

Something dropped on the floor making a noise and distracting whoever was trying to murder me with my very own pillow and in my own bedroom, as the pressure applied to the pillow lessened.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, I used all my might to push up the pillow away from my face. This apparently caught his attention as he struggled to press it back on me and complete his mission, an act I wasn't going to let him get away with so easily.
