Chapter 38

Keila's POV

"Keila," Dwayne said while looking so nervous as he stood in front of me. Weird. This is the first time I've seen him like this. It's refreshing. It's like I don't know the Dwayne who is standing in front of me now. "I want to tell you something."

"What is it?" I answered, looking a little bit concerned. "Is there a problem, Dwayne?" I stood up to face him so I could see his eyes. I know there's something wrong.

"I'm sorry about Krystal. I warned her not to hurt you, but look what happened. I'm so sorry. It's all my fault. She's just mad I broke up with her," he said. He can't even look at me. I can't help thinking about what Krystal said to me awhile ago. Am I really the reason for them breaking up? The question is, "Why me? "I know she already told you the reason, and yes, it's because of you." My eyes widened when I heard So she's right.

"Me, why me, Dwayne?" I asked, and then Dwayne lifted his face to look at me. "What is it about me, Dwayne?"
