Chapter 139. Confessions

Nathan’s POV

At the same time and with the same words, we spoke.

“I need to tell you something.”

We both look at each other. How weird is it to say the exact same thing at the exact same time?

“Ladies first, Amelie,” I said.

“Are you sure?” Amelie asked.

“Yes, please. What do you have to tell me?”

“Nathan, I’ve been trying to find the words to tell you something for weeks. “ I finally found the words, but then I lacked the courage,” Amelie said, turning to me. “Now I think I have both. I need to say it, regardless of the outcome, because I can no longer live with this secret. I can’t keep it secret for the next three years. I can’t let it consume my heart.”
