Chapter 20. The Diner
Nathan’s POV
I hardly slept last night. I kept wanting to reach out to Amelie and apologize profusely, but I couldn’t get the image of her out of my head. That’s all she needed was for me to show up at her door with a raging hard-on. I got up, pulled on jeans and a black T-shirt, and headed downstairs. Amelie is sitting on the couch, flipping through one of the magazines taken off my coffee table. She’s dressed in my t-shirt and sweats and has her hair up in a messy bun. She looks hot as fuck.
“Morning, Amelie,” I said, smiling.
“Morning, Nathan,” she answered back.
“Did you sleep well?” I questioned.
“I kind of had a hard time sleeping last night,” she sighed.
“Look, I’m very sorry for walking in on you….” I rub the back of my neck.
