Chapter 25. The Big Question

Amelie's POV

“It doesn’t matter what my feelings are for Amelie.” The statement repeats in my brain as we ride home in the limo. I stared out the window, facing away from Nathan. What does that statement mean? He has feelings. He doesn’t have feelings. He doesn’t care about my feelings and wants to use me.

“Are you ok, Amelie?” Nathan queried.

“I’m fine, just a bit tired.”

“Are you sure?” he questioned.

“Yes,” I whispered.

He left me in my silence. I needed it. I couldn’t look at him right now. I would have lost all my defences when he looked in my eyes or smiled.

I looked at my phone, and a text message from Tiff went off.

Tiff: Looks like you’re in the news again
