Amelie’s POV

After a late breakfast and a discussion about Isabella’s fate with Nathan, I headed upstairs to talk to Zander. I didn’t care that Nathan was going to talk to him; he was my brother, and I’m sure he would open up to me more than anyone.

I entered the suite, and he was sitting on the couch in his moping position. I’ve seen it several times in his life, and it was easy to recognize. When something didn’t go his way, he’d slouch on the couch, bowl of chips beside him and TV remote in hand.

“What’s up, baby bro?” I asked, plunking down on the couch beside him.

“Everything,” he mumbled.

“So, what is going on?” I questioned.

“Isabella and I have been staying up all night, sitting on the beach, talking about life,” Zander stated.
