Chapter 38. Hospital

Amelie’s POV

We returned to the hospital after another wonderful helicopter ride. I am so thankful for everything Nathan did for me today. I felt so relaxed and centered. I also felt a much stronger connection to Nathan. Spending time with him was so easy. I fall more for him with every minute I’m in his presence.

“Amelie,” Nathan said, holding out his hand to me, “are you coming?”

“Of course,” I answered.

He led me down the stairs from the roof and into the elevator. We arrived at the VIP ward just in time to see Dr. Carrera standing at the ward desk.

“Dr. Carrera,” Nathan exclaimed.

“Ahh, Dr. Michaels and Ms. Cavanaugh, just the people I want to see.”
